We organise a wide variety of extra-curricular activities throughout the year to enhance our students’ educational experience. These activities include day trips, evening theatre visits, ski trips and foreign visits. We also run a number of local trips which make use of local facilities such as South Hill Park, John Nike Centre, The Point and Horseshoe Lake.
Inevitably there are costs involved with trips but we do our best to keep these as low as possible. In line with our Trips & Visits Policy, the Governing Body will not allow any child to be prevented by financial hardship from taking part in an off-site activity, which is a compulsory element of a public examination syllabus. Parents who find themselves in this situation should contact the Trip Leader (usually the class teacher) who will discuss their particular concerns with them. The granting of funds is at the discretion of College’s Visits Coordinator and Principal.
Online payment for trips is available as well as payments by cheque payable to Garth Hill College and cash paid to the Finance Office.
